Resumen

El síndrome de Schmidt se caracteriza por la existencia de insuficiencia suprarrenal y tiroiditis linfocítica, sin embargo, puede estar acompañado de otros padecimientos autoinmunes. La enfermedad de Addison generalmente produce esterilidad por anovulación crónica, pero las pacientes tratadas adecuadamente preservan la fertilidad. Existen pocas publicaciones de síndrome de Schmidt y embarazo, en este trabajo se presenta un caso tratado con terapia hormonal de reemplazo y evolución gestacional satisfactoria.

Abstract

Schmidt's syndrome is characterized by the existence of adrenal insufficiency and lymphocytic, yet, it can also be accompanied of some other autoimmune diseases. Addison's disease usually produces infertility due to chronic anovulation, but patient who are properly treated can still be fertile. There are few reports of pregnancy and Schmidt's syndrome, this work presents a case treated with hormonal substitution therapy and successful obstetric outcome.
